White Rocks - A good first overnight hike?

Well, I'm really confused about My Settings and the prior post I sent because that post went through. So here's the question I originally sent that started all of the problems with "My Settings"

I have been getting ready to hike my first real backback overnighter for over a year. My summers are pretty much tied up with large acreage mowing, and I have to pick my times carefully as my wife is not of the best of health. Where I live, most hikers say they like the Cranberry hikes, but they are experienced hikers, and I am not. I have been trying to decide which trail would fit my health, age, experience, and interest, and then the White Rocks review popped up on the home page. It just seemed to fit the bill.

So I'm thinking of doing this alone in the middle of September. Can anyone provide some tips, recommendations, warnings, or whatever. I may go with my son, who is completely inexperienced at hiking. I'm 55 years old, and have all of the bad things going wrong with me particular to that age - cholestorol, blood pressure, diabetes - but they are all under control and I walk about 5-6 miles a day (flat or mildly rolling)

Thanks for any suggestions.

Steve

Re: White Rocks - A good first overnight hike?
White Rocks is a nice moderate backpack. The first campsite in Racer Camp Hollow will have the best water supply, the second near the top of Racer Camp Hollow will require you to walk back down the trail for .5 miles to get water at the stream, and the high mountain campsite on the ridge will require you to haul your water up as there, as there is no source on the ridge. Also black bears in the Great North Mountain area are  active early morning and evening, so make sure to use a bear bag or you may get a late night visit :)
