Camping suggestions??
I'm looking to take a few family and friends camping.  To make it easy for a few family members I'd like a campsite accessible by vehicle but I don't like camping at the designated campsites with bathhouses, electric hookups, etc..  Anyone have suggestions of secluded campsites vehicle accessible?
Thanks for the help.

Re: Camping suggestions??
There are primitive car camping sites dispersed throughout GWNF, especially in the North Mountain Area. The largest primitive car camping venue in the Mid-Atlantic might well be Green Ridge, SF, MD. There is some nice hiking there as well.

Re: Camping suggestions??

as mentioned, there's dispersed camping in George Washington NF, but I'd also suggest some of the campgrounds there.  Most are not used that much, they don't offer electricity, some just have pit toilets so it's fairly rustic, but you can park and have a tent pad - you might like Elizabeth Furnace - pretty setting along passage creek - or if there are too many trout fishermen, head further south into Fort Valley and try Camp Roosevelt.  just an idea.  from both places you'll find some nice hiking.
